Hilary Caplan has for 18 years promoted Liverpool across the globe to about a 1/4 of a million people. Her business Liverbird Greetings has been running for 18 years and is an independent company. She set up in business in 1992 and has never looked back. The main stay of the business is calendars and christmas cards and a large quantity are bought by the Liverpool ex-pat community and using photos by local photographers this enables people to have a bit of Liverpool on their walls maybe to remind them of home.
She would love to do more to help Capital of Culture and more importantly the charity run by Stephen Yip - “KIND”, all of her sales have a donation made on your behalf.
Sefton Park has a variety of wildlife. Walking around the park you will see many types of birds, ducks, swans and of course squirrels. There are many squirrels in the trees and some roaming around on the grass. I came across a chap feeding the squirrels they seemed quite comfortable coming so close and talking the nuts from his hand. The park regularly holds ‘Squirrel Trails’ were park rangers take people in the footsteps of the local squirrels as part of the Liverpool’s Wealth of Wildlife programme and the Mersey Forest Season.
